Children of Peace, Hope and Value

Our Kingdom Platform project has grown far beyond our original plans, making a remarkable impact and becoming our miracle project in the last year. Initially we planned only a YouTube channel for children and a Facebook group for parents – both are running successfully. However, we were unexpectedly invited by the government to run activities for non-Christian children in deprived villages in North Africa, where churches are often absent. This was extraordinary, as ministries like ours rarely receive such opportunities.

Initially, we were asked to do two events in 2024, but it became 13 events, reaching 5,900 children age 4-14. Our production team took this opportunity and ran with it. Ramez, our Head of Animation, who leads a team of 14, says:

It has been a journey. We learned a lot of things ourselves. For the first event we were invited only 2 or 3 days before the actual event, which totally surprised us, but we could not say no. This was a huge opportunity to meet children in person, for whom we produce animations and programmes. Everyone on my team wanted to contribute and play a part in a practical way.

This new opportunity has stretched our North Africa team. Serving 500-600 children at a time for at least 4 hours requires a lot of hands to help out. Some small churches have offered volunteers but it hasn’t always been dependable.

We usually had between 12 and 17 people helping at each event. But, one time, we went to a very faraway place with only 4 staff and no voluntary support. The event was due to start at 9am. At 8.30am, we still had only 4 team members. At 8.45am there was a surprise call from someone who was about to bring three girls from a local church to give us support. They were brilliant. This event taught us about God’s grace!

The content of our events comes from our YouTube channel with the main message: “You are loved, you are precious and your value comes from your creator”. The entire Kingdom Events content is based on Isaiah 43:4, “Since you are precious and honoured in my sight, and because I love you”. The children sing about this passionately at every event, watch animations from our YouTube channel and do craft activities.

Recently, we met a 12-year-old Daiya. She cried when she heard the main song. She said that the song was the best thing for her at the event.

“I feel I have no confidence at all, but when I started singing the song, my confidence returned. My father loves me, but my mother doesn’t seem to love me anymore. I am the eldest, and my mother has no time for me. I go to my room and often cry.

At one event, a local government representative said, “What you do is very valuable; I wish you could stay longer.”

Seeing the impact, she arranged for more children to attend at the last minute and asked our team to extend their time. Though not a believer herself, she recognised our message’s value and how the children responded.

Our Kingdom Events are one-off opportunities to minister to children like Daiya. Please pray for the boys and girls attending these events and their parents who hear the programme whilst they wait outside.
